Martin "Marty" Deeks is a Los Angeles Police Department (commonly stylized as LAPD) Detective who is also the liaison between theOffice of Special Projects(commonly stylized as OSP) at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (commonly stylized NCIS) and the LAPD. As such, Deeks is responsible for facilitating communications between both agencies, and coordinating joint operations involving LAPD components.
Henrietta "Hetty" Lange is the operations manager for theOffice of Special Projects.She also oversees the "backroom" support staff, tasked with providing everything the agents may need: from micro-surveillance cameras to cars. It was revealed in the episode "Disorder" that she had been assigned to the Los Angeles office some time prior to December of 2008.
Special Agent G. Callen, is the NCIS Special Agent in charge of the Office of Special Projects stationed in Los Angeles,reporting directly to the OSP Operations Manager Henrietta Lange.He was introduced in the original NCIS series's backdoor pilot, "Legend Part 1" and "Legend Part 2" which aired during NCIS Season 6 but Callen was left injured in drive-by shooting at the very end of"Legend Part 2".However, by the time "Identity", the first ever episode of NCIS: Los Angeles aired, Callen returned to work a month early and resumed his duties as an NCIS Special Agent as well as the head of the team.

Kensi Marie Blye is a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) who is currently assigned to the NCIS: Office of Special Projects.In addition, Kensi is also the current partner of Marty Deeks who is also the LAPD liason with NCIS, having been previously partnered with NCIS Special Agent Dominic Vail up until his death in theline of duty.
